Sears just might have something there...

Never buy glass outdoor furniture. I say this after having a glass patio table for years but, alas, it’s dead now.

Living in Oklahoma the weather is consistently inconsistent, to say the least. And, acknowledging that we have enjoyed our glass patio table for about six years I’d still like to reiterate the warning, Don’t Buy One!

They need constant cleaning, not only from the top but also from the bottom. They get very hot in the direct sunlight and THEY ARE FRAGILE! (Who would have guessed, huh?)

We had another good size storm last night and awoke to find shattered safety glass all over the concrete. It seems the umbrella that was protruding from the center of the table had come loose and acted like a parachute in reverse, going up! Too bad it didn’t get all the way out before it decided to twist over and destroy the table top.

Well, we figured we got our use out of this particular piece furniture but I didn’t figure on how much of a mess it was to clean up!

Not only that but it started to rain AGAIN while I was sweeping up the debris! Add rain induced humidity to the 80 degree day and I’m sure all you readers that live in the deep south can sympathize with just how wonderful THAT felt!

So having a glass table and realizing just how impracticable they are, my review is simply, DON’T!

Recently I saw a very nice Aluminum and Teak wood patio table at Sears, hum...
