Islamo-Facist? No thanks!

The two Fox News journalists, Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig, were released from their terrorist kidnappers recently, but only after they “converted” to Islam at the point of a gun.

Much has been reported and said about this event but I think the most important concept has been totally missed. It’s an idea that will put an end to the war on terror once and for all.

In order to secure their release Centanni and Wiig “converted” and then avowed to that fact before the video camera. Now I’m not going to say that their religious epiphany was anything but genuine, that’s not my place to say, but they did figure out pretty fast that if they didn’t “convert” they were going to be the next in a long line of “John the Baptist Impressionists”!

We need to follow their example! What President Bush needs to do is go on T.V. (of course the Fox Channel will be the only major news outlet to allow him some prime time) and tell the worlds Islamic Terrorists that we just had a summit of all the western countries and agreed that we’d all convert to Islam!

You see all of the Islamic-facists (sorry kidnappers but I have to call you what you really are) have one thing in common. It doesn’t matter if they are with Hamas, Hezbolah, Islamic Jihad or any other offshoot from that bitter plant called Islam, they all want the entire world converted to their warped religion and all governments run with sharia law.

If we tell them that we’re now on “their side” they will stop murdering, kidnapping, bombing, and dropping missiles on us!

Brilliant, huh?

There is just one problem and it’s going to stick in the craw of every liberal, self loathing, America hating fifth columnist here in the United States... Our country was founded on Christian principles and none other!

John Adams said:

“ The general principles upon which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principals of Christianity… I will avow that I believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”

Each of the founding fathers acknowledged that the United States of America was not only based on but also needed to be consistently monitored by Christians.

Thomas Jefferson said:

“Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern which have come under my observation, none appears to me so pure as that of Jesus.”

James Madison stated:

“We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We’ve staked the future of all our political institutions upon our capacity…to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”

Jedediah Morse said:

"To the kindly influence of Christianity we owe that degree of civil freedom, and political and social happiness which mankind now enjoys. . . . Whenever the pillars of Christianity shall be overthrown, our present republican forms of government, and all blessings which flow from them, must fall with them."

But one of the most chilling warnings was given by

Samuel Johnson:
North Carolina state legislature, 1760
North Carolina State Senate 1779
Delegate to Continental Congress/ North Carolina, 1780-81
Governor of North Carolina, 1787-89
U.S. Senator from North Carolina, 1789-93

“It is apprehended that Jews, Mahometans (Muslims), pagans, etc., may be elected to high offices under the government of the United States. Those who are Mahometans, or any others who are not professors of the Christian religion, can never be elected to the office of President or other high office, [unless] first the people of America lay aside the Christian religion altogether, it may happen. Should this unfortunately take place, the people will choose such men as think as they do themselves.”

So let’s just forget what I said earlier about telling the terrorists that we all had a change of heart and want to be Muslims now. I think I’d much rather die a Christian than to live as a Muslim!
